Hello Sun!

Sa susunod na linggo, hindi na active ang Globe sim card ko (Globe Users: Bhoooo!!!!!) and i’ll be switching to Sun Cellular (Sun Users: Yehey!!!!!!).
Ngayon lagi akong naguunli sa Globe, P80 sa loob ng limang araw. Sa Sun, isang buwan kang nakaulimited sa halagang P150 at may 4 hours call pa. Laking tipid.

Sa Globe, may P20 call for 20 minutes. Sa Sun, merong isang oras na tawag for only P30 valid for 7 days. Beat that!

Iba talaga ang nagagawa ng.. PAG.. pagtitipid!

“I keep saying the sexy job in the next ten years will be statisticians. People think I’m joking, but who would’ve guessed that computer engineers would’ve been the sexy job of the 1990s? The ability to take data—to be able to understand it, to process it, to extract value from it, to visualize it, to communicate it—that’s going to be a hugely important skill in the next decades, not only at the professional level but even at the educational level for elementary school kids, for high school kids, for college kids. Because now we really do have essentially free and ubiquitous data. So the complimentary scarce factor is the ability to understand that data and extract value from it.
I think statisticians are part of it, but it’s just a part. You also want to be able to visualize the data, communicate the data, and utilize it effectively. But I do think those skills—of being able to access, understand, and communicate the insights you get from data analysis—are going to be extremely important. Managers need to be able to access and understand the data themselves. “

Bago ang lahat i-add nyo muna ako sa Plurk:
Thank you sa pag-add, sana makadagdag sa karma natin. OK, balik na sa blog.
Noong una kong marinig ang Plurk, iba talaga ang pumasok sa isip ko. Para kasing tunog ng bumabagsak na tae. pero ayon sa aking research may ibang kahulugan ang Plurk:
- abbreviation of ‘people’ and ‘lurk’
- word formed by blending sounds of ‘play’ and ‘work’
- acronym of Peace, Love, Unity, Respect, and Karma
Sa tatlong linggo kong petik mode, sinubukan kong mag-plurk. mas mabilis ang takbo ng usapan sa plurk, parang napakaraming conference na may iba ibang topic.
Dapat kakaiba at nakatatawag ng pansin ang Plurk mo para may mag-response – more response, more karma. May konsepto kasi na tataas ang karma mo kapag nag-plurk ka, nakapag-upload ka ng pics, na-update mo yung profile, nakapag-add ng friends, nagkaroon ng fans at may nag-response sa mga plurk mo. Kahit gaano kawalng kwenta o kabastos ang nasasabi ng profile o ng plurk o ng response mo sa plurk, walang pakialam dun ang karma as long as active ka. Ironic di ba?
Nirvana? pwe! pwede ko namang makuha yan ng hindi gumagamit ng Plurk.

Day 01, February 21, 2009

0100am Assembly at Glorietta, Makati

0130am Estimated Time Departure from Makati to Bolinao, Pangasinan

0730am Estimated Time Arrival Solomon’s Paradise Resort. Breakfast and Rest (On pax own account)

0930am Visit Enchanted Cave then proceed to Bolinao Falls

1230pm Lunch (On pax own account)

0130pm Tour Resumes Picture taking at Bolinao Church

0200pm Proceed to UP Marine Institute (Optional :Entrance Fee is Php 10/person)

0230pm Proceed to Cape Bolinao Lighthouse

0300pm Stay at Patar White Beach to watch sunset and swim

0600pm Go back to Resort.

Ang totoong nangyari:

1:15 AM kami nakaalis sa Glorieta, na-meet namin ang aming batang batang tour guide na si Otan. Along the way, ewan ko kung anong nangyari, nabinyagan na syang Onat. Sensya na Onat, nagbibigay talaga kami ng bagong pangalan sa bagong kakilala lalo na kapag kasing gwapo mo. Naks! Sana may discount na kami sa susunod na tour. :D

7:00 AM kami nakarating sa Solomon’s Paradise. Hindi namin alam kung bakit ganyan ang pangalan ng resort na yan, Brent/Bret naman ang pangalan ng may-ari. Kumain ng breakfast, nagpahinga.

9.30 AM we start our tour right, so our first stop is the Bolinao Church! :D pampalakas kay Lord na sana gabayan kami sa aming tour.

10.30 AM pumunta kami sa UP Marine Institute, na-meet si Ate Glai, dating ka-course ni Mandy, kapatid ni Estong na brod namin sa Stats. Small world talaga, ang daldal ni Ate, madami syang naiturong may mga malalim na kahulugan bukod sa kung anong maipapaliwanag ng siyensya. (read: bastos)

11.30 AM kumain kami sa Adora’s, na bininyagang Adele ni Glad.

Kung mapapansin nyo, hindi namin sinunod ang itinerary trip. Kasi gusto muna naming puntahan ang mga lugar na tuyo bago ang basaan. Kaya pinagsamasama namin ang mga lugar na may basaan.

1.30 PM Bolinao Falls No.1. Promise yan ang pangalan nyan, wala pa siguro silang maisip na mas magandang pangalan. Konting lakarin lang naman, pero ewan ba hindi ako naniwala kay Onat ng sinabi nyang walking distance lang. Daan pa lang papuntang Bolinao Falls No. 1, maganda na. Kakaiba din ang falls.

2.00 PM Bolinao Falls No. 2. Dahil may No. 1 dapat may No.2. Hindi na namin napigilan ang aming pagkasabik sa tubig at syempre nainngit lang din ako kay Mandy dahil nauna silang lumusong. Very refreshing ang feeling! Sulit talagang mabasa! :D

3.00 PM Enchanted Cave. Kung gaano walang kakwenta kwentang pinangalanan ang falls, overrated naman ang pagpangalan sa kwebang ito. Pero infairness, maganda din ang kweba, at tandaan may mga lugar na hindi pwedeng pasukin sa loob ng kweba.

4.00 PM Patar Beach na may pamatay na waves at pamatay din na sunset.

0700am Breakfast.

Ang totoong nangyari:

07:00 AM Ewan kung may gising na, pero ako tulog pa.

08:00 AM Ang aming usapang aalis na dahil wala kaming breakfast. Actually, yung room lang namin ang walang breakfast kasi nagsamasama kaming mga pasaway (Roi, Roan, Svet and me). Dahil late na, pagpalate ng lalo. Pumunta kami sa tapat ng Solomon’s Paradise, and it is indeed a paradise! Syempre hindi namin pinalampas ang photo op na ito.

09:00 AM Check out, dumaan sa bayan ng Bolina para kumain ng meryenda.

11:00 AM Pinilit dumaan sa Alaminos, Pangasinan para kumain, iniwasan kasi naming kumain sa Adora/Adele kaya dumayo kami sa Alaminos para magtanghalian. Hindi naman kami nagsisi dahil sa halagang P80 nabusog kami ng hipon, bangus, longganisa at Coke na malamig. At tinderang napakabait. Syempre hindi namin pinalampas ang photo op sa tapat mismo ng Hundred Island.

1:00 PM Byaheng pauwi. Sa tingin nyo natulog kami? HINDE! (ok natulog ako pero konti lang) Eto kulitan to the max. Mga joke ni Ycel at Bel na bentang benta kay Aileen, ang excitement namin ng makakita ng napakalaking sapatos at gustong hanapin kung sinong may-ari. Ang mga kantang saulo ni Van (yeah, faster!). Mga tawanan, kwentuhan at bastusan. Walang pikon, walang talo, lahat panalo.

7:00 PM ako nakarating sa Quezon City. Right on sched :D
